Velma Pauline Yoder
WELLMAN-Velma Pauline Yoder, 88, of Wellman, died Thursday, Dec. 25, 2003, at Parkview Manor in Wellman, following a lengthy illness.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 27, at Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Wellman, with the Rev. Marlene Janssen officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Joetown. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time on Saturday, at the funeral home. A memorial has been established for Pleasant Hill Methodist Church.
Mrs. Yoder was born on Sept. 13, 1915, near Kalona, to Christian and Naomi (Yoder) Swartzendruber. On Jan. 26, 1938, she married Ernest M. Yoder in Iowa City.
