Vera Amelia Jarvis
Vera Amelia Jarvis, 87, of Washington, died Sunday, Jan. 6, 2008, in Halcyon House in Washington following a short illness.
Celebration of Life Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 10 in the Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington with the Rev. Sue Meade officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Thursday. A private family interment will take place at Sandy Hook Cemetery in rural Brighton. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
Mrs. Jarvis was born April 27, 1920, in Iowa City, the daughter of Taylor and Glennie (Goodman) Stout. She married Carl W. Jarvis on Oct. 8, 1939, in Brighton.
