Vera June Slonaker, 89, died Monday, May 19, 2008, at Fountain West Health Care Center in West Des Moines.
A private family memorial service will be planned at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Central Iowa Foundation, 401 Railroad Place, West Des Moines 50265.
Mrs. Slonaker was born June 23, 1918, in Chicago, Ill.
