Vercie C. Giberson July 8, 1912 - August 29, 2003

      Vercie Colombia Giberson, 91, of New London, formerly of the Stockport and Glasgow area, died at the New London Nursing and Rehab Center.

      The graveside service was at 10 a.m. today at the Hickory Grove Cemetery northeast of Stockport. A memorial has been established to the New London Nursing and Rehab Center Activity Fund.

      Survivors include five sons, Ernest Giberson of Stockport, Ralph and his wife Janet Giberson of Citrus Heights, Calif., Louie Giberson of Homestead, Fla., Frank and his wife Joan Giberson of St. John, Ind., and James and his wife Audrey Giberson of New London; five daughters, Ila and her husband Chet Coleman of New London, Lillie Mitchell of Bethany, Mo., Ruth and her husband Richard Boyd of Ottumwa, Irene and her husband Dick West of Burlington, and Darlene and her husband Randy Norton of New London; 35 grandchildren, 84 great-grandchildren and 18 great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Vera Parker of the New London Nursing and Rehab Center.

      In addition to her two husbands, she was preceded in death by four brothers, three sisters, 3 grandchildren, two great-grandsons and a son-in-law.
