Verda F. Miller,

      KALONA - Verda F. Miller, 83, of Kalona died Wednesday, July 4, 2007 in Mercy Hospital, Iowa City after a lingering illness.

      Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 7, in Sunnyside Conservative Mennonite Church in Kalona with the Rev. John King, the Rev. Floyd Helmuth and the Rev. Dave Yoder officiating. Burial will be in Fairview cemetery, rural Kalona. A private committal service will be held prior to the funeral service. Visitation will be from 1 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in the church. Memorials may be made to the church.

      Mrs. Miller was born March 14, 1924 in Wellman, the daughter of Simon and Barbara (Bender) Hershberger. She married Cecil Miller on Sept. 23, 1945 in Fairview Mennonite Church in Kalona.
