Verdon C. Eggenberger April 25, 1913 - October 4, 2003

      Verdon Charles Eggenberger, 90, of West Burlington, died at 11:15 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 4, 2003, at the New London Care Center.

      The graveside funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 8 at Lockridge Cemetery with the Rev. Jack Wolgamuth officiating. Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 7 at Lunning Chapel in Burlington with family present from 7 to 8:30 p.m. A memorial has been established to the West Burlington United Methodist Church.

      Survivors include two daughters, Lois Ann Goble of Albuquerque, N.M. and Linda Brockway of Burlington; a son, Richard Eggenberger of West Burlington; and four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

      In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
