Verle Eugene Worley

      Verle Eugene Worley, 83, of Washington died Thursday, Sept. 27, 2007, in the Washington Care Center following declining health.

      His body has been cremated. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 1, 2007, in the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Washington with the Rev. Brian Gentz officiating. Burial will be in Elm Grove Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will begin at noon Sunday with the family receiving friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Hospice of Washington County or the Immanuel Lutheran Church Building Fund.

      Mr. Worley was born Oct. 25, 1923, in Jefferson County, the son of Clayton and Dorothy (Beliel) Worley. He married Evelyn Davis on Sept. 22, 1945, in Chicago Heights, Ill.
