Verlee L. Millspaugh

Verlee L. Millspaugh, 87, of Burlington, formerly of the Rome community, died Friday, March 21, at Great River Medical Center in West Burlington.

A graveside service was held at 1 p.m. today, March 24, at Grant Cemetery in Rome, with the Rev. Ed Newman officiating. There will be no visitation.

She was born March 7, 1921 in Kingston, the daughter of John and Vera Partington Dickey. On July 4, 1939, she married Merrill Millspaugh in Burlington.

She and her husband farmed in the Rome community.

She is survived by her husband; her sister, Mabel Pearsall of Burlington; four half-brothers, Don Dickey and Harvey Dickey of Wapello, Raymond Dickey of Illinois and John Dickey of California; four half-sisters, Karen Holub, Hilda Dryer and Margie Knight, all of Wapello, and Ruth Little of Florida; and one stepsister, Venita Boyd of California.

Her parents, one brother, one half-sister and one half-brother preceded her in death.
