Verlena Rose Hodgerson Hunter

      BURLINGTON - Verlena Rose Hodgerson Hunter, 93, of Burlington died Sunday, Aug. 26, 2007 in Great River Medical Center-Klein Center.

      Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29 in Lunning Chapel in Burlington, with the Rev. Tyrone Henderson officiating. Interment will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Lunning Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m.

      Mrs. Hunter was born Nov. 20, 1913 in Rothville, Mo., the daughter of Harry and Katie Collier Strickland. She married Robert Edward Hodgerson on March 20, 1935, in Chillicothe, Mo. He died March 7, 1968. She married Willard Hunter in 1973. He died in 1991.
