Verna Clinton
BETTENDORF-Verna Clinton, 86, of Davenport, died Saturday, Feb. 28, 2004, at Crest Health Center in Davenport.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 2, at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Chapel in Bettendorf. Burial will be in Rock Island National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to Asbury United Methodist Church's Our House Pre-School Program in Bettendorf.
Mrs. Clinton was born on Dec. 22, 1917, in Leavenworth, Wash., to W. Foster and Agnes Viola (Wellemeyer) Bickel. She married Stanley F. Clinton on Sept. 22, 1942, in San Francisco, Calif.
