Verna Irene Dempsey
KEOTA - Verna Irene Dempsey, 91, of Ottumwa, and formerly of Keota, died Sunday, July 22, 2001, at the Ottumwa Regional Health Center, following a brief illness.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 25, at Powell Funeral Home in Keota, with the Rev. Marty Goetz officiating. Private family interment will be held at a later time. Visitation will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, where there will be a prayer service at 10 a.m. A general memorial fund has been established.
