MARJORIE G. MADDIX

Verne L. Maddix, 92, of

Sun City, Ariz., passed away Feb. 14, 2020. He was

preceded in death by his parents, Aaron Glade and Lorraine (Turpin) Maddix; and brother, Von.

Marjorie G. Maddix, 89, of Sun City, Ariz., passed away May 6, 2020. She was

preceded in death by her parents, Willis and Erma Loving.

Verne and Marge were married on Feb. 26, 1968, in Monmouth, Ill. Verne was a Seaman First Class in the USN from 1945 to 1952. He was a tool and die maker at the Dexter company for 40 years. After retiring from Dexter, Verne continued working another 10 years, retiring from Karsten Precision in Phoenix, Ariz.

Marge owned a beauty shop in Fairfield, Iowa, before retiring with Verne and moving to Sun City in 1985.

Surviving Verne are his sister, Mary Delle Griffiths (Harold); and his children and their families, Ronald Maddix and wife Sharon of Hattiesburg, Miss., Terry Channel and husband Roger of Libertyville, Iowa, Mike Maddix of Palmyra, Mo., Lynda Holland and husband Bill of Kirksville, Mo., and Eric Maddix and wife Robin of Chicago.

Marge is survived by daughters, Rhonda Clough of Albuquerque, N.M., and Linda Salgado and husband Miguel of Sun City, Ariz.

Their remains will be interned in the Sunset Memorial Park in Albuquerque, N.M., at a later date.
