Vilma C. Hanshew
Vilma C. Hanshew, 77, of Oskaloosa, died Friday, May 9, 2008, in her daughter's residence in Washington following a lengthy battle with cancer.
Funeral services were held Sunday, May 11 in the St. James Catholic Church in Washington with the Rev. Ed O'Melia officiating. Interment will take place in the Elm Grove cemetery at a later date. The Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington assisted with the arrangements.
Mrs. Hanshew was born Feb. 8, 1931, in the Republic of Panama, the daughter of Alberto Aleman and Maria Elena Garcia. She married Frank Hanshew on April 17, 1956 in Panama.
