Vincent J. Sojka

      RIVERSIDE-Vincent J. Sojka, 84, of Kalona, died Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2004, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City, following a brief illness.

      A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 15, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Riverside, with the Rev. Rich Adam officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Riverside. Visitation will continue this evening until 7:30 p.m., at Sorden-Lewis Funeral Home in Riverside, with a rosary service following. Memorials may be directed to St. Mary's Catholic Church, Mt. Olivet Cemetery or Camp Courageous.

      Mr. Sojka was born on Sept. 21, 1920 in Riverside, to Charles J. and Rose I. (Knotek) Sojka. On Feb. 28, 1946, he married Anita M. Frank in Riverside.
