Viola Bernice Frescoln

      Viola Bernice Frescoln, 98, of Fairfield, formerly of Batavia, died Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2009, at SunnyBrook Assisted Living in Fairfield.

      A funeral is scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church in Fairfield, with the Rev. David Peterson officiating. Interment will be in Batavia Cemetery in Batavia.

      Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday at Raymond Funeral Home, and family visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Saturday at the church.

      Memorials may be made to Batavia United Methodist Church, Fairfield Women's Club restoration fund or a charity of the donor's choice.

      Mrs. Frescoln was born Sept. 21, 1910, in Jefferson County, the daughter of John Orion and Velma Eyestone Bartholow. She married Bruce K. Frescoln June 5, 1929, in Agency. He died in March 1984.
