Viola Hammes Conklin Heisdorffer
KEOTA-Viola Hammes Conklin Heisdorffer, 93, of Harper, died Wednesday, May 9, 2007, at the Manor House Care Center in Sigourney, following a brief illness.
Mass of the Resurrection will be at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, May 14, at Holy Trinity Parish-St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Harper, with the Rev. Marty Goetz officiating. Burial will be at St. Elizabeth Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Powell Funeral Home in Keota, where there will be a prayer service/rosary at 7 p.m. A memorial fund has been established for Manor House Care Center, or Masses may be given in her name.
Mrs. Heisdorffer was born on June 3, 1913, near Harper, to Nicholas and Anna (Goeldner) Hammes. She married Cleo W. Conklin at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on Dec. 28, 1971. She married William J. Heisdorffer on June 16, 1975, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church.
