Violet May Lowe

Violet May Lowe, 80, of Brighton, died Saturday, April 3, 2005, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

      The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 7 at the Brighton United Church, with the Rev. Kitch Shatzer officiating. Burial will be in Sandy Hook Cemetery, north of Brighton. Visitation will begin at 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 6 at Gould Funeral Home in Brighton, with family present from 7 to 8 p.m. Memorials have been established to the Brighton United Church or the Brighton Volunteer First Responders.

Survivors include three sons, William G. and his wife Sue Lowe of Birmingham, Randy L. Lowe and Terry C. Lowe, both of Brighton; six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Lois Farrier of Columbus Junction.

      In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, and four brothers, Vernon, Lyle, Virgil and Clarence.
