Virgil E. Davis Sr.
IOWA CITY - Virgil E. Davis Sr., 76, of Iowa City, formerly of Washington, died Thursday, Dec. 14, 2006 in the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics following an extended illness.
Family services will be held on Friday in the Gay and Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City. No other services are planned.
Mr. Davis was born Nov. 30, 1930 in Richland, the son of Eugene and Vera (Sutton) Davis. He married Lorraine M. Shalla on Oct. 6, 1949.
