Virginia Batterson
Virginia Batterson, 73, of Washington, died Friday April 6, 2001 at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City following a lengthy illness.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 11, at St. James Catholic Church in Washington, with the Rev. Dennis Martin officiating. Burial will be in Elm Grove Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the Beatty Funeral Home in Washington, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. There will be a Catholic Daughters Rosary at 5:30 p.m. and a prayer service at 8 p.m. A general memorial has been established.
