Virginia Hanze

      Virginia Hanze, 72, of Mt. Pleasant, formerly of Swedesburg, died Friday, Jan. 13, 2006, at her home.

      The funeral service will be held Wednesday, Jan. 18, at 10:30 a.m. at the Swedesburg Evangelical Lutheran Church, with Rev. Philip Borleske officiating. Burial will follow at the Swedesburg Church Cemetery.

      Visitation will be Tuesday, Jan. 17, from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Honts Funeral Home in Winfield, where family will be present from 5 to 7 p.m.

      Mrs. Hanze was born June 2, 1933 at Belmond. She was a 1950 graduate of the Olds High School and a 1954 graduate of the Iowa Teachers College in Cedar Falls. On August 7, 1955 she married Roger Hanze at Swedesburg. He died Nov. 29, 1995.
