Virginia Kurtz

Virginia Kurtz, 86, formerly of Brighton, died Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2004, at McCreedy Home in Washington.

      A Mass of the Resurrection was at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 14 at Mother Cabrini Catholic Church in Richland, with the Rev. Charles J. Fladung officiating. Burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery in East Pleasant Plain. A memorial has been established to St. Joseph Cemetery Association. Gould Funeral Home in Brighton was in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include a daughter, Justine and her husband Jim Schwartzrock of Tampa, Fla.; a son, Garold and his wife Janet Kurtz of Tampa, Fla.; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and two brothers, George Schultz of Fairfield, and Raymond Schultz of Crawfordsville.

      In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Harold Kurtz; a sister, Rita Sojka; and a brother, Jess Schultz.
