Virginia M. Hochstedler
KALONA-Virginia M. Hochstedler, 65, of Kalona, died Saturday, April 17, 2004 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City, from complications of emphysema.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 20, at Kalona United Methodist Church in Kalona, with the Rev. Lynn Patrick officiating. Visitation began this morning at Yoder-Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Kalona, where the family will be present from 1 to 4 p.m. and 5 to 9 p.m. A memorial fund has been established for the Mercy Services Breath of Fresh Air Group.
Mrs. Hochstedler was born on Dec. 30, 1938, to Velda Potter and Noble King. On Nov. 24, 1957, she married Kenneth D. Hochstedler in Kalona.
