Virginia M. Smith

    MOUNT PLEASANT ? Virginia M. Smith, 86, of Mount Pleasant, died Monday, Aug. 17, 2009, in the Henry County Health Center in Mount Pleasant.

    Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 20, at the Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel in Mount Pleasant.  Burial will be in the Cedar Creek Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.  Memorials have been established to the Cedar Creek Cemetery.

    Mrs. Smith was born April 1, 1923, at home near Trenton, the daughter of James O. and Leola Pearl (Hite) Miller.  She married Harry K. Smith on July 21, 1940, at her parents? home in rural Wayland.
