VIRGINIA RUTH EBB

Virginia Ruth Ebb, 95, of Kentwood, Mich., went to be with her Lord on Saturday, March 9, 2019.

In her early 20s, Virginia served as a medical missionary in Tanzania for 4 1/2 years. She returned and met her husband, the Rev. Kenneth Ebb, who preceded her in death in 2009.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children, the Rev. Rebecca and Terry Ebb-Speese, the Rev. Eric Ebb; granddaughters, Kirsten and Andres Ponte and Michelle Jerrels; great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Rachel, Faith Jerrels, Elena Ponte; nieces, Nancy (Paul) Long, Leslie and Gary Larson, Kathy Kristhoffer, Karen VanEpps, Janie Lundquist; and great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Ernest Peterson; and nephew, Roger Ebb.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, 2019, at Swedesburg Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1897 140th St., Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, with Pastor Mark Youngquist officiating. Burial will be at Swedesburg Cemetery following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ascension Lutheran Church, Swedesburg Evangelical Lutheran Church (Swedesburg, Iowa) or Faith Lutheran Church (Middletown, Conn).
