Vivien L. Anderson
Vivien L. Anderson, 72, of Ames, died Oct. 28, 2000, at Israel Family Hospice House in Ames, of cancer.
The funeral service will be 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 31, at Stevens Memorial Chapel in Ames. The body has been cremated. Burial will be in Ames Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 30, at Stevens Memorial Chapel with a Scripture service at 7 p.m. Memorials may be made to Israel Family Hospice House.
Mrs. Anderson was born April 19, 1928, in Nevada, the daughter of Clifford C. and Alice McDonald Larson. She married Harold Lemons in 1949, and James L. Anderson in 1965. She retired in 1988 from Mary Greeley Medical Center where she worked in food service and the laundry. She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary Post 37 in Ames.
Survivors include two daughters, Jeanne Miller of Mt. Pleasant and Angela Anderson of Ames; a son, Jack Anderson of Boone; seven sisters, Virginia and Richard Ullrick of Nevada, Rose Warren of Ames, Lois and Glen Brown of Ames, Evelyn Frier of Peoria, Ill., Edna and Harold Whetstone of Ames, Ada and Frank Frodyma of Downers Grove, Ill., Eileen Juncker of Fort Dodge; two brothers, Larry L. Larson of Eugene, Ore. and Robert and Joyce Larson of Ames; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by both husbands; her parents; a daughter, Linda DePew; a sister Maribelle; two brothers, Clifford Jr. and Chester J. Larson; and two grandchildren.
