Wallace ?Wally? Eivind Brokken

    FAIRFIELD ? Wallace ?Wally? Eivind Brokken, 78, of Fairfield, died Sunday, Aug. 2, 2009, in the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City.

    Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m. today at the First Lutheran Church in Fairfield with the Rev. John Meyer officiating.  Burial was in the Union Cemetery, east of Fairfield.  Memorials may be made to the First Lutheran Church ?Feed the Children? fund, the Union Cemetery, or for a memorial bench at Oakland Mills Park.  The Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield was in charge of the arrangements.

    Mr. Brokken was born Sept. 15, 1930, in Fairfield, the son of Eivind ?Ed? and Anna Pauline (Leu) Brokken.  He married Lois Crile on Aug. 4, 1956, at the Salina Lutheran Church.
