Walter E. Farrell

Walter E. Farrell, 87, of Washington, and Mesa, Ariz., died Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011, in the Washington County Hospital in Washington following a brief illness.

    A family memorial service is pending as the family awaits the arrival of a missionary grandson from New Zealand. The body has been donated to the Carver College of Medicine at the University of Iowa for medical research. Memorials may be designated to Hospice of Washington County. Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington is handling the arrangements.

    Mr. Farrell was born July 23, 1923, in Oklahoma City, Okla., the son of Walter E. and Eva (Hines) Farrell. He married Lalia Zane Parks of Bastrop, La.
