Walter Eldon Slater
Walter Eldon Slater, 80, of Ames, formerly of Keokuk, passed away Sunday, July 6, 2008, at Northcrest Retirement Community-Heartwood House.
A service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Hofbauer-Schmitz-Lynk Funeral Service in Donnellson, with Steve Kemp officiating. Burial will be in Montrose Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Mr. Slater was born Dec. 8, 1927, the son of Walter Albert and Iva Margaretha (Ball) Slater.
