Walter Rugg
Walter ?Doc? Rugg, 88, of Washington, formerly of the Wayland area, died Friday, April 1, 2011, in University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City following a short illness.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 6, at the Prairie Flower Baptist Church north of Washington with the Rev. Don Collings officiating. Burial will be in the Cottonwood Cemetery with military honors with the American Legion Post 29. Visitation will begin at noon Tuesday at the Beatty Funeral Home in Washington, where the family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. A general memorial has been established.
