Warren E. Slagel
Warren Edward Slagel, 87, died Wednesday, Nov. 19, at Parkview Home in Wayland.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21, at Sugar Creek Mennonite Church, with family present from 5 to 7 p.m. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 22, at the church, with the Rev. Nathan Luitjens officiating. Burial will be at Sugar Creek Cemetery.
Memorials have been established for the Sugar Creek Mennonite Church, Hospice of Central Iowa and Parkview Home.
He was born Nov. 19, 1921, in Michigan, the son of Elmer and Sarah Conrad Slagel. On Nov. 10, 1946, he married Vernelda Widmer in St. John's, Mich.
