Wayne M. Yoder

      KALONA-Wayne M. Yoder, 85, of Joetown, died Saturday, May 15, 2004, at home, following a brief illness.

      Celebration of Life services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 19, at Kalona United Methodist Church in Kalona, with the Rev. Lynn Patrick officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Joetown, with military rites accorded by the Richmond AMVETS Post No. 107. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, at Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona, with family present from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be directed to Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Joetown.

      Mr. Yoder was born on Dec. 10, 1918, in Kalona, to Emery and Vertie (Gingerich) Yoder. He married Elizabeth Kauffman on Feb. 18, 1940, in Kalona.
