Wayne R. Cox

Wayne R. Cox, 84, of rural Keosauqua, died at 10:50 a.m. Friday, July 16, 2010, in the emergency room at Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua.

A funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Keosauqua United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Douglas Harding officiating. Burial, with military rites by American Legion Beer-Barker Post No. 113, will be in Kilbourne Cemetery.

Open visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Monday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, where the family will be present from 6-7:30 p.m.

Memorials to Keosauqua United Methodist Church may be left at the funeral home or church or may be mailed to the family at 18581 Lark Ave., Keosauqua 52565.

Mr. Cox was born Feb. 2, 1926, in Bussey, the son of Leslie and Edith Oosthoek Cox. He married Roberta Stonehouse May 11, 1946, in Mount Pleasant.
