Wayne R. Parsons

      Wayne R. Parsons, 74, of Lafayette, Ind., died Wednesday, April 2, 2008, at Heritage Healthcare.

      A service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Hippensteel Funeral Home in Lafayette, Ind., with the Rev. Edward J. Tourangeau officiating. Final interment will be at 1:30 p.m. May 3 in Union Cemetery in Fairfield.

      Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

      Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or a charity of the donor's choice.

      Mr. Parsons was born Feb. 20, 1934, in Cedar Rapids, the son of John L. and Mildred Farr Parsons. He married Diane Kay Humeston Aug. 29, 1953, in Fairfield. She died Aug. 25, 2005.
