Wayne W. Stransky July 5, 1915 - January 1, 2004
Wayne W. Stransky, 88, of rural Wellman, died on Thursday, Jan. 1, 2004, at home, following a brief illness.
A Celebration of Life service was held on Monday at Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona, with the Rev. Lynn Patrick officiating. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery in Washington. A memorial has been established for Hospice of Washington County.
Survivors include two sons, Larry and his wife Linda Stransky of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Kerry and his wife Terri Stransky of Lowell, Mass.; and four grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents and a half-sister, Myrtle Vodicka.
