Wesley Peterson

The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 25 at Elliott Chapel in New London, with Pastor Matt Miller officiating. Burial will be in Burge Cemetery in New London. Visitation will begin after noon today at the chapel, Masonic rites will be at 5 p.m. and the family will be present after the service until 7 p.m. A memorial has been established to the New London Lions Club.

Survivors include his wife of Wayland; a daughter, Dorothy Peterson and her husband Ronald Reichert of Hiawatha; and a son, James and his wife Janet Peterson of Washington; a granddaughter, Carol Brown of Mt. Pleasant and two great-grandchildren; a sister, Nettie Mae and her husband Joe Kunes of Mesa, Ariz.; and a brother, Harold Peterson of Scottsdale, Ariz.

      He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Alice Bergendahl.
