Whitney Renee Snakenberg

      Whitney Renee Snakenberg, 23, of Ollie died Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2005, at her home.

      A memorial service is planned for 2 p.m. Saturday at Prairie View United Methodist Church near Ollie, with the Rev. Shirley Hoffman Wills officiating.

      Arrangements are being handled by Reynolds-Powell Funeral Chapel and Cremation Service in Sigourney.

      Snakenberg was born July 13, 1982, in Nevada, Iowa, the daughter of George and Kitty Schrader Snakenberg.

      Snakenberg was valedictorian of the class of 2002 at Pekin High School. She then attended Indian Hills Community College and Buena Vista University, where she was a junior. She was employed by Hedrick Savings Bank in Ottumwa as a teller.

      Snakenberg was a member of Prairie View United Methodist Church.

      She was an artist.

      Survivors include her parents; one brother, Schuyler Snakenberg of Ollie; paternal grandparents, Mel and Marie Snakenberg of Sigourney; and maternal grandparents, Harold and Kate Schrader of Ollie.
