Wilbur J. Darby
Wilbur J. Darby, 74, of Washington, died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2007, in Mercy Hospital, Iowa City, following a short illness.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, in the Beatty Funeral Home in Washington with the Rev. James Cluney officiating. Burial will be in Elm Grove Cemetery with military honors provided by the American Legion Post No. 29. Visitation will begin at noon Wednesday in the funeral home with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. A memorial fund has been established.
Mr. Darby was born Dec. 13, 1932, in Washington, the son of Jay F. and Florence (Darnell) Darby.
