Wilbur Swartzendruber

      WELLMAN - Wilbur Swartzendruber, 82, of Wellman died Saturday, Aug. 18, 2007 in Parkview Manor in Wellman following a lengthy illness.

      Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 22 in the Wellman Mennonite Church with the Rev. Marvin Hostetler and Chaplain Donnita Payne-Hostetler officiating. A private graveside service will be held prior to the service in the Wellman Mennonite Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Tuesday in the Powell Funeral Home in Wellman where the family will greet friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Memorials may be made to the Wellman Fire Department and the IOWA MCC Relief Sale.

      Mr. Swartzendruber was born June 24, 1925 in Johnson County near Wellman, the son of Peter and Lydia Swartzendruber. He married Lois on June 5, 1949 in Wayland.
