Willard L. Christner
KALONA-Willard L. Christner, 78, of Wellman, died Friday, Feb. 6, 2004, at Parkview Home in Wellman, following a lengthy illness.
Funeral services were held this morning at Lower Deer Creek Mennonite Church, with the Rev. Don Patterson officiating. Burial was in Upper Deer Creek Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established for the Iowa Mennonite School Building Fund. Yoder-Powell Funeral Home in Kalona is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Christner was born on Aug. 28, 1925, in Johnson County, near Kalona, to Gideon A. and Hester (Hochstedler) Christner.
