William ?Bill? D. Alvine, 89, of Fairfield and former resident and retired fire chief of Mt. Pleasant, died at 2:54 a.m. Thursday, March 29, 2001, at Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield.
The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 2, at the First United Methodist Church in Mt. Pleasant with Dr. Edward R. Peterson officiating. Burial with full military honors will be in Forest Home Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant. Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Sunday, April 1 at Weir Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with the family present from 4 to 6 p.m. A memorial has been established for the Mt. Pleasant Fire Department.
