William ?Bill? H. Rockwell

William ?Bill? H. Rockwell died Tuesday, July 11, 2000, at his home south of Lockridge.

The funeral service will be Saturday, July 15, at 10:30 a.m., at the Oakland Mills Community Church with the Rev. Henry Ledbetter officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Mills Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Friday at the Beatty Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with family present from 6:30 to 8 p.m. A memorial has been established.

Mr. Rockwell was born August 29, 1943, in Mt. Pleasant, the son of John and Eunice Monson Rockwell. He graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School and was a heavy equipment operator.

Survivors include a son, Mark, of Chicago; a daughter, Stacey Grooms of Austin, Texas; a brother, John Rockwell of Minneapolis, Minn.; sisters Mary Rockwell and Susan Lushin, both of Mt. Pleasant; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
