William "Bill" H. Woodburn, 73, of Fairfield, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2019, at his home.

Visitation for family & friends will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 30, at Behner Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be

10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 31, at Behner Funeral Home with Pastor Monte Knudsen officiating. Burial will follow the service at Batavia Cemetery, Batavia, Iowa.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice Compassus of Washington. Cards and memorials may be mailed to Linda Woodburn, 1998 Redwood Ave., Fairfield, IA 52556.

Bill was born Aug. 27, 1946, in Ottumwa, to Robert E. and Dorothy E. (Sparks) Woodburn. He married Linda Lee Haynes in 1989.

Bill was a lifelong farmer and a truck driver. While trucking, he liked to share stories of what he had seen. Bills outdoors sports were spoonbill fishing and elk hunting. His love for hunting continued by watching different hunting shows and also NASCAR. Bill enjoyed traveling and what meant the most was spending time with his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many friends.

Bill will be missed by his wife, Linda; his children, Kimberly (Randy) Deao, Jenny L. Haynes, Todd (Kristy) Woodburn, Jolene Wimmer and Julyanne Millspaugh; grandchildren, Joshua Topping, Brian Jennings, Austin Deao, Jess Haynes, Tanner Deao, Alli Deao, Lanie Wimmer, Bradley Woodburn, Nathan Woodburn, Jersey Money, Maddi Woodburn and Layke Millspaugh; great-grandchildren, Jakob Ponce, Jaycee Topping and Oliver Deao; and Janet Haynes, who he loved like a sister.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Dorothy; and brother, Wayne Woodburn.
