William ?Bill? K. Riggan

    KALONA ? William ?Bill? K. Riggan, 69, of Washington, died Friday, July 17, 2009, at his home following a battle with cancer.

    Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 21, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Richmond with the Rev. Rich Adam officiating.  Burial will be at Holy Trinity Cemetery in Richmond.  Visitation began Sunday at Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona, and there will also be visitation from 3 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home with the family present.  A prayer service will take place at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.  Memorial funds have been established for Hospice of Washington County or the Holy Trinity Parish Hall Fund.

    Mr. Riggan was born March 15, 1940, in Iowa City, the son of Henry and Amanda (Seering) Riggan.  He married Barbara Dawson on Aug. 27, 1960, at St. Mary?s Church in Lone Tree.
