William 'Bill' R. Chapek

October 24, 1950 - July 6, 2018

William "Bill" R. Chapek passed away Friday, July 6, 2018 at his rural Washington home at the age of 67 years.

A service will be held on Wednesday, July 11, 10:30 a.m. at the Peterseim Funeral Home. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 10 from 4-7 p.m. at the Peterseim Funeral Home.

Bill was born in Iowa City, Iowa the son of Paul and Dortha Sleichter Chapek on October 24, 1950. He attended Holy Trinity Catholic School in Richmond. On September 25, 1981 he was united in marriage to Denise Burnhardt in Solon.

Bill was a member of the Sons of AMVETS, Richmond. Bill enjoyed many outdoor activities which included fishing and deer hunting. He also collected farm toys and enjoyed his grandchildren.

Bill is survived by his wife, Denise; son, Robert Chapek; two grandchildren: Leah and Colton; and a sister, Corine (Mike) Welte.

Preceding him in death were his parents, and an infant brother, Pauley.

A general memorial fund has been established.
