William C. Watts August 22, 1922 - November 9, 2003

William Carlton Watts, 81, of Dallas City, Ill., died at 2:59 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 9, 2003, at his home.

      The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 14 at Banks and Beals Funeral Home in Dallas City, with the Rev. Doug Clark officiating. Burial with military rites will be in the National Cemetery in Keokuk. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 13 at the funeral home, with Masonic Rites at 6 p.m., followed with the family present until 8 p.m. Memorials have been established to the First Christian Church and Dallas City Lions Club.

      Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Elizabeth Watts-Rieke of Burlington, and Linda Sue Marshall of Nauvoo, Ill.; and 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

      He was preceded in death by his parents.
