William D. ?Bill? Graf

KALONA ? William D. ?Bill? Graf, 78, of Washington, died Friday, April 3, 2009, at the Washington County Hospital in Washington following a lingering illness.

    Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 7, at Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona with the Rev. Andrew Zuehlke officiating.  Burial will be in Sharon Hill Cemetery in Kalona, with graveside services conducted by American Legion Post No. 29.  Visitation will be from noon to 7 p.m. today at Beatty Funeral Home in Washington with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m., and from 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesday at Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona.  Memorials may be made to Hospice of Washington County or to First Baptist Church.

    Mr. Graf was born April 16, 1930, in Washington, the son of Henry and Effie (White) Graf.  He married Helen Ayers on March 22, 1950, in Davenport.
