William D. Skerik

      William "Bill" D. Skerik, 64, died at 6 a.m. Saturday, April 8, 2006, at his home in Burlington.

      The funeral liturgy outside of Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 13, at St. Paul's Catholic Church, with the Rev. Patrick Hilgendorf officiating. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by the Veterans Honor Guard of VFW Posts 10102 and 9162, American Legion Post 52, Hamilton-Walters Marine Corps League and AMVETS 20.

      Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 12, at Lunning Chapel, with family present from 6 to 8 p.m.

      A memorial has been established.

      Born July 11, 1941, in Burlington, he was the son of Joseph Franklin and Mary Lou Moss Skerik. On Aug. 9, 1960, he married Laurine "Rene" Ann Belger.
