William Dickinson, 69, of Ottumwa, died at 4:10 a.m. Sept. 13, 2023, at Vista Woods Care Center.

He was born June 3, 1954, in Fairfield, to Glenn and Florence Whitmere Dickinson. Bill married Lisa Payne on June 25, 1988, in Las Vegas, Nev. Bill was a 1972 graduate of Fairfield High School. He lived 15 years in California and 10 years in Las Vegas, moving to Ottumwa in 1996. He was an artisan for Creative Edge. Bill enjoyed yardwork, flowers, plants, watching sports and especially enjoyed watching his son play baseball when he was growing up and spending time with family and friends.

Surviving is wife, Lisa; a son, Chancellor Dickinson (Taylor Clark) of Ottumwa; 2 grandchildren, Ryker Clark and Covah Dickinson; siblings, Becky (Jim) Stoner, Deb Dickinson and Julie (Lane) Vorhies, all of Fairfield and Bob Dickinson of Colorado.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Doug, Charles and Tom Dickinson.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday, September 18, at Reece Funeral Home, with Pastor Richard Schlotter officiating. The family will be present to greet friends from noon to 1 p.m. Monday. Cremation will follow the services.
