William Dunlap Glisan
William Dunlap Glisan, 65, of Coppock died Wednesday, March 15, 2000, in Williamstown, Mo. from a lengthy illness.
The funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 18, at the Jones and Eden Funeral Home in Washington with the Rev. Monte Asbury and the Rev. Richard VanBebben officiating. Interment will be in the Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington. Friends may call anytime today at the Jones and Eden Funeral Home, where the family will be present from 7 to 8:30 p.m. this evening. A general memorial has been established.
Mr. Glisan was born Feb. 16, 1935, in Ewing, Mo., the son of Charles Dunlap and Mildred Josephine Allen Glisan. He was an Air Force veteran and worked in construction for a number of years. He lived in California most of his life.
Survivors include seven sons, Larry Glisan of Dallas City, Ill., Ronnie Glisan of Des Moines, James Glisan of Castle Rock, Wash., William Glisan of Morgan Hill, Calif., Tom and Rick Kindred, both of Washington, and David Kindred of Winfield; six daughters, Shelly Peiffer, Holly Glisan, Gail Tinnes, and Julie Walters, all of Washington, Brenda Kindred of Cedar Rapids, and Carla Hamlin of Virginia Beach, Va.; one sister, Ella Mae Dochterman of Williamstown, Mo.; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Colleen Glisan; two brothers, Archie and James; and a sister, Barb.
