William E. (Bill) Whalen Sr.

William E. (Bill) Whalen Sr., age 76, of Washington, Iowa died Tuesday July 31, 2007 at the Washington County Hospital following a brief illness.

      Celebration of life services will be held 11:00 am Thursday, August 2nd at the Jones - Eden Funeral Home, conducted by Steve Wolfer. Friends may call from 12:00 pm until 5:00 pm Wednesday at the funeral home. The family will receive friends from 9:00-11:00 am Thursday at the Jones - Eden Funeral Home.       Bill was born January 31, 1931 in Boston, Massachusetts the son of Thomas and Mary Whalen. Bill was educated in Miami, Florida. On March 28, 1952 Bill was united in marriage to Mildred Elizabeth Collett in East Moline, Illinois.
